Now in Layout and Design: Painting the Body Beautiful: A Showcase of Expert Body Painting by Art Ketchum

This book is a magnificent collection illustrating hundreds of images created by photographer Art Ketchum for the purpose of showing off the creative talent of body painting as demonstrated on beautiful women by artist Jim Brando. The book showcases both the process of body painting in action along with finished images complete with backgrounds that were designed for each individual body painting.

The book is done in the best of taste and is extraordinarily well photographed and painted. Painting the Body Beautiful compels the viewers to want to see all the images illustrated, as each image is very unique and equally breathtaking.

Book Cover Designs--Pick Your Favorite!
Remember the old saying "You can't judge a book by it's cover?" In reality, the cover creates the first impression of a book. If it isn't visually striking or engaging, people may pass it by. This is especially true when shopping online (such as Amazon.com) where people can search by topic and bring up multiple books on the same subject.

The covers at left are four very different designs for the same book. Scheduled to be released in 2009 from Atlantic Publishing, this book is by renowned photographer Bill Lemon and will feature outdoor photographs shot in numerous beautiful locations throughout the United States from California to Missouri. The working title is Outdoor Glamour Photography: The Complete Guide to Shooting in Scenic Location Across America.

The Florida Publishing Association announced the finalists in the FPA 2008 President's Book Awards competition. Four books Meg worked on for Atlantic Publishing are finalists in the categories of Best Interior Design, Best Cover Design, and Best Business Book. The winners will be announced September 13th in Sarasota, Florida.

Congratulations to Atlantic Publishing with nine finalists in five different categories.
